Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  2. Install the EN-48079  (1) to the drive belt tensioner spring. See Special Tools .
  3. Compress the drive belt tensioner spring fully using the EN-48079  (1). See Special Tools .
  4. Install a box wrench to the drive belt tensioner (2) and rotate the tensioner counterclockwise in order to release the tension from the drive belt.
  5. With the tensioner released, remove the drive belt from under the middle idler pulley.
  6. Slowly rotate the tensioner clockwise in order to allow the tensioner to rest.
  7. Remove the drive belt from the vehicle.
