Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors (2, 3) from the appropriate camshaft position (CMP) actuator solenoid valve.

  3. Remove the exhaust (1) CMP actuator solenoid valve bolt and valve, if required.
  4. Remove the intake (2) CMP actuator solenoid valve bolt and valve, if required.
  5. Inspect the solenoid valve O-ring seals for damage, replace as necessary.
