CAUTION: Ensure that the vehicle is properly supported and squarely positioned. To help avoid personal injury when a vehicle is on a hoist, provide additional support for the vehicle on the opposite end from which the components are being removed.
IMPORTANT: The evaporative emission (EVAP) vent solenoid is located on the top of the EVAP canister.
  1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
  2. IMPORTANT: Take care when removing the EVAP vent solenoid from the EVAP canister. Fuel vapor lines are fragile.
  3. Remove the 3 EVAP canister-to-underbody fasteners and slightly lower the EVAP canister enough to remove the EVAP vent solenoid.
  4. Disconnect the EVAP vent solenoid electrical connector.
