Installation Procedure

  1. Position the transmission mount bracket to the transmission.
    2. Fig 1: Rear Transmission Mount Bracket To Transmission Bolts

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the transmission mount bracket to transmission bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 110 N.m (81 lb ft).

  3. Install the HO2S sensor. Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Bank 1 Sensor 2 .

  4. Lower the steering gear to the frame.
  5. Install the steering gear to frame bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 110 N.m (81 lb ft).

  6. Install the intermediate steering shaft to the steering gear.
  7. Install the intermediate steering shaft to gear pinch bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 34 N.m (25 lb ft).

  8. Install the rear transmission mount. Refer to Transmission Rear Mount Replacement .
