Removal & Installation (Cab & Chassis Auxiliary)

  1. Drain the fuel tank. Raise the vehicle. Remove the fuel tank shield. Disconnect the fuel fill and vent pipes from the fuel tank.
  2. Support the fuel tank, with the aid of an assistant. Remove the fuel tank strap attaching bolts. Remove the fuel tank straps. Lower the fuel tank slightly. Disconnect the fuel pipes from the fuel sender. See QUICK CONNECT FITTINGS (METAL COLLAR) . Disconnect the fuel sender harness connector.
  3. Remove the fuel tank. Place the fuel tank in a suitable work area. Cap the fuel pipes in order to prevent possible fuel system contamination. To install, reverse removal procedure.
