Removal & Installation

  1. Loosen filler caps to relieve the fuel system pressure. Raise the vehicle. Disconnect the fuel pump harness connector. See Fig 1. Clean both fuel pipe connections and surrounding areas at the fuel pump before disconnecting to avoid possible contamination of the fuel system. Disconnect both fuel pipes from the pump. Slide the pump out of the bracket. Cap the fuel pipes.
  2. To install, remove the caps from the fuel pipes. Install the new fuel pipe "O" rings. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
