Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
  2. Remove the crossunder exhaust pipe. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Pipe Replacement (3.5L (L66)) .
  3. Remove the oil pan.
  4. Clean sealer material from the block and oil pan assembly.

  5. Remove the engine rear cover.
  6. Remove the crossunder exhaust pipe brace.
  7. Remove the oil pan bolts, and oil pan.
  8. Clean sealer material from the block and oil pan assembly.
