Removal & Installation

- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Set parking brake. On models with air conditioning, set air flow control to vent position. On models with automatic transmission, move shift lever to down-most position. On all models, tilt steering wheel to full down position.
- Remove Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) trim bezel. Remove left and right instrument panel end panels. Remove passenger-side air outlets. Remove assist handle by depressing release tabs accessed through air outlet duct holes.
- Remove driver-side and passenger-side A-pillar trim. Remove screws from instrument panel upper trim pad. Lift upper trim pad up. Disconnect ambient light sensor electrical connector. Remove upper trim pad.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten upper trim pad screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
