Removal Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Important: Note the following locations:
- The position of the wire harness routing
- The location of the tie-straps that secure the harness to the drive cable tube and the sunroof module.
- Position the sunshade in the full forward position.
- Remove the headliner. Refer to HEADLINER REPLACEMENT in Interior Trim.
- Remove the rear shelf. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR WINDOW SHELF in Interior Trim.
- Cut the nylon tie straps on the express module and the drive cable tube.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the following components:
- The control switch
- The express module
- The actuator
- Remove the tape holding the wire harness to the module.
- Remove the wire harness from the sunroof.
