Clutch Pedal Buzzing or Growling

Clutch Pedal Buzzing or Growling

Cause Action
DEFINITION: A buzzing or growling noise is coming from the clutch when engaged or disengaged.
Review the Symptoms - Clutch  and perform the necessary inspections.
Hydraulic system failure
  1. Inspect the clutch hydraulic system. Refer to Diagnostic Starting Point - Clutch  .
  2. Replace faulty components as necessary.
Clutch pressure plate assembly to flywheel bolts loose
  1. Inspect the clutch disc.
  2. Replace the clutch disc if necessary. Refer to Clutch Assembly Replacement  .
  3. Tighten the bolts to specification. Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications  .
