Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat assembly. Refer to Seat Replacement - Rear .
  2. Lower the rear seat back.

  4. Disengage the handle clip from the rear seat recliner by pulling on the locking feature.
  5. Disengage the cable from the recliner assembly.

  7. Release the seat back cover by disengaging the bottom J-strip.

  9. Disengage the J-strip retainers from the frame.

  11. Remove the outboard bolt holding the seat back to the frame and pad.
  12. Lift the seat back cover and pad enough to expose the inboard seat back bolts.
  13. Remove the inboard seat back bolts.

  15. Remove the anchor escutcheon to the child seat tether.

  17. Remove the recliner handle fastener, then pull the recliner handle out of the seat back.

  19. Remove the child comfort guide, if equipped.

  21. Disconnect the recliner cable from the recliner handle.
  22. Remove the headrest. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement - Front Seat .
  23. Pull up on the seat back cover and carefully remove the seat by disengaging the hook and loop fasteners.

  25. Reach underneath the seat back panel to access the headrest guides.
  26. Remove the headrest guides by pinching the tabs at the base of the guide while pulling up.
  27. Remove the seat back cover.
