Removal & Installation (Side Impact)

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Move seat to full forward position. Remove seatbelt post rear cover from front cover. Unzip seat cover zipper completely to gain access to air bag module. Remove top and bottom nuts securing air bag module to seat frame. See Fig 4. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip and disconnect side impact air bag module Yellow connector. Remove side impact air bag module from seat.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten side impact air bag module nuts to specification. Activate air bag system.
