Sensing & Diagnostic Module (SDM): Removal

- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
- Remove driver's seat. Remove carpet retaining sill trim molding. Fold back carpet to access SDM. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip and disconnect SDM harness connector from SDM. See Figure. Remove SDM mounting nuts. Remove SDM.
