Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Safari and 2002 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SLIDING DOOR  .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - SLIDING DOOR  .
  3. Remove the upper access cover, if equipped.

  5. Remove the lock rods (1) from the lock assembly (1 and 3).
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the lock (5).
  7. Remove the lock bolts (1).

  8. Remove the lock from the door (2).
