Lock Striker Adjustment - Door (With Mini Wedge)

Tools Required : J 39346-A Mini-Wedge Door Striker Aligner
IMPORTANT:
The door must be properly aligned before adjusting the striker.
- Open the door.
- Loosen the door striker screws just enough to allow movement of the door striker.
- Install the special tool J 39346-A Mini-Wedge Door Striker Aligner.IMPORTANT: Do not slam the door.
- Close the door while holding the outside handle in the open position.
- Open the door.NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Tighten the door lock striker screws.
Tighten
Tighten the door striker screws to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Remove the special tool J 39346-A Mini-Wedge Door Striker Aligner.
- Close the door.
