Heated Oxygen Sensor: Installation
Apply a small amount of Anti-Seize Compound (21485279) to the threads of the HO2S. Using Heated Oxygen Sensor Wrench (J39194C), install the HO2S. Tighten the HO2S to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install sensor harness and connector to the attachment clip. Connect the HO2S harness connector. Push in connector until a click is heard, then pull back to confirm a positive engagement.
- Apply a small amount of Anti-Seize Compound (21485279) to the threads of the HO2S. Using Heated Oxygen Sensor Wrench (J39194C), install the HO2S. Tighten the HO2S to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install sensor harness clip to the heat shield attachment bolt. Connect the HO2S harness connector. Push in connector until a click is heard, then pull back to confirm a positive engagement. Ensure the HO2S harness pigtail is secured to the chassis.
