Cylinder Head Installation - Right

Tools Required 

J 36660-A  Torque Angle Meter. See Special Tools and Equipment .

  1. Install the cylinder head locator dowel pins, if necessary.
  2. Inspect the cylinder head locator dowel pins for proper installation.
  3. Install the cylinder head gasket.

  4. Install the cylinder head.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the cylinder head bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the cylinder head bolts in sequence to 60 N.m (44 lb ft). Turn the bolts an additional 95 degrees using the J 36660-A  .
