Installation Procedure

  1. Install the heater inlet pipe.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the heater inlet pipe mounting nut.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nut to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

  3. Connect the inlet hose (3) to the inlet pipe.
  4. Use J 38185  in order to reposition the heater hose inlet clamp.

  5. Install the air cleaner assembly.
  6. Refill the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM in Engine Cooling.
