Installation Procedure

  1. Install the heater inlet hose.
  2. Connect the heater inlet hose to the heater core.
    IMPORTANT: Reposition heater core hose clamps in the indicated location.
  3. Use J 38185  in order to reposition the heater core hose inlet clamp.

  4. Connect the heater inlet hose (3) to the inlet pipe.

  5. Use J 38185  in order to reposition the heater hose clamp.
  6. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to FUEL INJECTOR SIGHT SHIELD REPLACEMENT (L36) or FUEL INJECTOR SIGHT SHIELD REPLACEMENT (L67) in Engine Mechanical - 3.1L.
  7. Refill the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM in Engine Cooling.
