Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Safari and 2002 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  1. Install the bracket to the bumper.
  2. Install the bracket to bumper bolts and nuts. Tighten:  Tighten the bolts and nuts to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
  3. Install the brace to the bumper.
  4. Install the brace to the bumper nuts. Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
  5. Install the bumper to the vehicle.
  6. Install the bracket to the frame bolts and nuts. Tighten:  Tighten the bolts and nuts to 55 N.m (41 lb ft).
  7. Install the brace to the frame bolts. Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
  8. Remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle.
