Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Sierra, 2003 GMC Cab & Chassis Sierra, 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, and 2003 Chevrolet Cab & Chassis Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the I/P cluster bezel. Refer to Bezel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster   . 
  2. Remove the center console four hold down retaining bolts. Refer to Console Replacement (Except PRO)   or Console Replacement (PRO)   . 

    Do not separate the console from the console extension.

  3. Remove the console extension from the I/P. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Extension Replacement (PRO)   . 
  4. Remove the retainers as shown in the graphic.
  5. Lower the bezel and disconnect the electrical connectors.
  6. If replacing the bezel remove the 12 volt power supply outlets. Refer to 12-Volt Power Supply Replacement   .
