Removal & Installation

  1. Turn ignition OFF. Remove the engine cover. See ENGINE COVER . Drain the coolant below the level of the ECT sensor. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . Disconnect the electrical connector. Carefully remove the ECT sensor.
  2. Coat the threads with Sealer (GM 9985253). Install the ECT sensor. Connect the ECT sensor harness connector to the ECT sensor. Refill the cooling system. Install the engine cover.
