Removal Procedure

- Remove the grille assembly. Refer to GRILLE REPLACEMENT (OLD STYLE) or GRILLE REPLACEMENT (NEW STYLE GMC) or GRILLE REPLACEMENT (NEW STYLE CHEVROLET) .
- Remove the transmission fluid cooler hose from the Auxiliary oil cooler. Refer to Transmission Oil Cooler Line Quick Connect Fitting
- Remove the transmission fluid cooler hose from the radiator. Refer to Transmission Oil Cooler Line Quick Connect Fitting
- Raise the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
- Remove the engine protection shield. Refer to Engine Protection Shield Replacement in Frame and Underbody.
- Remove the transmission fluid cooler hoses from the transmission. Refer to Transmission Oil Cooler Line Quick Connect Fitting
- Remove the transmission fluid cooler hoses from the retainer on the engine.
- Remove the transmission fluid cooler hoses from the vehicle.
