Removal & Installation

  1. Remove the CNG fuel tanks. See FUEL TANKS  . Release the exhaust pipe hanger from the frame bracket. Remove the front tank mounting frame bracket bolts. Remove the tank mounting frame bracket nuts. Remove the tank mounting frame bracket nuts and bolts from the side plates.
  2. While supporting the tank mounting frame, remove the remaining nuts. Lower the tank mounting frame from the vehicle. Remove the nuts from the stud plates. Lower the side mounting plates from the vehicle. Remove the stud plates from the vehicle frame.
  3. Install the stud plates into the vehicle frame. Raise the side mounting plates into the vehicle placing the studs through the side mounting plates. Install the nuts onto the studs. Tighten the nuts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Raise the tank mounting frame into the vehicle.
  4. While supporting the tank mounting frame install the upper nuts onto the side mounting plate studs. Tighten the nuts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install the tank mounting frame bracket nuts and bolts through the side plates and the tank mounting frame. Tighten the nuts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install the front tank mounting frame bracket bolts. Tighten the bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install the tank mounting frame bracket nuts. Tighten the nuts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install the exhaust pipe hanger into the frame bracket. Install the CNG fuel tanks.
