Removal & Installation (Fuel Hoses/Pipes Replacement - High Pressure Regulator (HPR)-To-Low Pressure Lock-Off (LPL) Union)

- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the engine cover. See ENGINE COVER . Remove the fuel line at the low pressure lock-off solenoid fitting. Remove the fuel line from the high pressure regulator. Remove the fuel line retainer located along the transmission bellhousing from the CNG fuel line and the gasoline fuel line. Remove the fuel line assembly from the vehicle.
- To install, route the fuel line between the low pressure lock-off solenoid and the high pressure regulator. Lubricate the "O" rings with petroleum jelly or equivalent before installation. Connect the fuel line at the low pressure lock-off solenoid fitting using new "O" rings. Tighten the fuel line. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the fuel line retainer between the CNG fuel line and the lower gasoline fuel line. Connect the negative battery cable. Prime the CNG fuel system by cycling the ignition ON and OFF several times. Start the engine and use Ultrasonic Leak Detector (J 41416) in order to inspect for CNG fuel system leaks at each serviced fitting. Install the engine cover.
