Removal & Installation (2.2L - VIN 4)

The Knock Sensor (KS) is located in engine block, near oil filter. See Figure. Turn the ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air cleaner outlet resonator. Disconnect KS electrical connector. Remove KS. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten KS to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
