Removal (Cab & Chassis With One-Piece Driveshaft)

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Reference mark rear of driveshaft and rear axle pinion yoke. Reference mark front of driveshaft and transmission/transfer case. Remove driveshaft-to-rear axle pinion yoke bolts and retainers.
  2. Slide driveshaft forward in order to disconnect driveshaft from rear axle pinion yoke. Lower rear of driveshaft away from rear axle pinion yoke. Slide driveshaft rearward to remove from transmission/transfer case. Set driveshaft aside.
  3. Remove 2 EVAP canister-to-crossmember retaining nuts. Disconnect 3 EVAP system pipes from EVAP canister. See Figure. Remove EVAP canister. Remove EVAP canister brackets from EVAP canister.
