Cause Correction
Balance weight detached from the propeller shaft A detached balance weight may create a "sliding, scraping, or ticking" type noise during acceleration or deceleration.
  1. Inspect the propeller shaft and tube for a detached balance weight.
  2. Replace components as required. Do not attempt to reattach the balance weight to the propeller shaft.
