Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Disconnect the outer tie rod end from the suspension knuckle. Refer to Tie Rod Replacement (Outer End)  or Tie Rod Replacement (Suspension Link) .
  4. Remove the nut (1) retaining the rear suspension adjustment link to the crossmember.
  5. Remove the rear suspension adjustment link (2) from the vehicle.
