Compressor Control Valve Assembly Install (V7 - Direct Mount)

Tools Required

J 41790-A A/C Compressor Holding Fixture. See Special Tools and Equipment .

Coat the control valve O-ring with clean 525 viscosity refrigeration oil.
Push the A/C compressor control valve into the A/C compressor with thumb pressure.
Using internal snap ring pliers, install the A/C compressor control valve retaining ring.
Make sure the retaining ring is properly seated in the ring groove.
Remove the A/C compressor from the J 41790-A . See Special Tools and Equipment .
Install the A/C compressor into the vehicle.
