Removal Procedure

IMPORTANT: The stowage lid and the rear compartment lid will contact if they are opened at the same time. Be sure that one lid is latched at all times.

  1. Open the rear compartment.
  2. Remove the rear nut attaching the folding top stowage lid hinge.
  3. Disconnect the right and left folding top stowage lid struts from the rear of the hinges.
  4. Close the rear compartment.

  5. Open the folding top stowage lid and support the lid.
  6. Place a protective cover between the stowage lid and the rear compartment lid, and over the top of the quarter panels.
  7. Using a grease pencil mark the location of the hinge on the lid to aid in installation.

  8. Remove the lid release switch harness (2) from the hinge, (drivers side hinge removal).

  9. Remove the nuts attaching the front of the hinge to the body.
  10. Remove the hinge bolts from the lid.
  11. Remove the hinge.
