Installation Procedure

Position the hinge to the stud plate on the body.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the nut attaching the hinge to the front of the body stud plate.
Tighten: Tighten the folding top stowage lid hinge to body nut to 32 N.m (23 lb ft).

Install the hinge bolts to the lid.
Tighten: Tighten the folding top stowage lid hinge to lid bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Install the strut to the front ball stud on the hinge.
Remove the protective covering and the temporary support.

Install the harness (2) to the hinge, (drivers side).
Lower and latch the folding top stowage lid.

Open the rear compartment.
Install the nut attaching the hinge to the rear of the body stud plate.
Tighten: Tighten the folding top stowage lid hinge to body nut to 32 N.m (23 lb ft).

Install the folding top stowage lid struts to the hinges.
Inspect the operation of the rear compartment lid.
