Removal Procedure

  1. Position the folding top with the #1 and #5 bow up.
  2. Remove the seal compression panel. Refer to Folding Top Seal Compression Panel Replacement .

  4. Using a pair of needle nose pliers, remove the top cover staples from the #1 bow.

  6. Using a pair of needle nose pliers, remove the headliner staples from the #1 bow.
  7. Pull the top cover back over the #3 bow.

  9. Remove the headliner side screws from the #1 bow.

  11. Using a pair of needle nose pliers, remove the headliner extension push-on retainers from the studs on the #1 bow.

  13. Remove the headliner retainer screws from the #2 bow.

  15. Position the top in a closed position with the folding top stowage lid open to gain access to the headliner attachments.
  16. Remove the retainer screws to the headliner elastic strap from the #5 bow.
  17. Remove the retainer screws to the headliner elastic strap from the rear side rail.
  18. Remove the headliner screws from the rear side rail.

  20. Position the #1 and #5 bow up to gain access to the #4 bow screws.

  22. Remove the support strap screws to the rear window from the number four bow.
  23. Remove the headliner retainer screws from the #4 bow.

  25. Remove the headliner retainer screws from the #3 bow.
  26. Remove the headliner.
