Valve Lifter Installation

  1. Dip the valve lifters in prelube GM P/N United States 12345501, GM P/N Canada 992704 or the equivalent.
  2. Install the valve lifters.
  3. Install the valve lifter guides.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the valve lifter guide bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the valve lifter guide bolts to 30 N.m (22 Ib. ft).
