Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Safari, 2002 Chevrolet Astro, 2001 GMC Safari, 2001 Chevrolet Astro, and 2000 GMC Safari. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the body side front lower trim panel to the vehicle:
    1. 1.1. Align the fasteners.
    2. 1.2. Snap the fasteners into place.

  2. Install the driver's door stepwell lamp assembly to the body side lower storage pocket.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES.
  3. Install the stepwell lamp cover retaining screw.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the stepwell lamp cover retaining screw to 2 N.m (18 in. lb.).

  4. Install the intermediate seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - REAR BENCH (2002) in Seats.
