Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Safari and 2002 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the swing-out window latch. Refer to WINDOW REPLACEMENT - SWING OUT in Stationary Windows.
  2. Remove the screws that retain the right molding on the sides and the bottom.
  3. Remove the screws that retain the left molding on the sides and the bottom.
  4. Remove the molding from the door in the area of the retainers.

    There are 2 retainers on top, one in the center of the panel, and 6 around the outside edge.
