Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Safari and 2002 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT: The weatherstrip attaches to the pinch-weld flange in 6 areas. The weatherstrip length distributes equally around the door opening.
  1. Install the weatherstrip at the top right corner. Seat the weatherstrip onto the pinch-weld flange.
  2. Position and install the weatherstrip by hand.
  3. Using a rubber mallet during the final installation may be required in the thick flange areas and in each corner.
