Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in GM Vehicles Cautions & Notices.
  1. Install the strut ball to lid or body by turning clockwise into the weldnut. Tighten:  Tighten the strut ball to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  2. Install the strut. Refer to STRUT REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE  .
  3. Install the support. Close liftgate.
