Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES.
  1. Install the hinge to the hood with the aid of an assistant.
  2. Align the new hinge according to the marks made before the old hinge was removed.
  3. Install the hood to hinge bolts. Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 ft. lb.).

  4. Install the hinge to fender nut.
  5. Install the hinge to fender bolt. Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 ft. lb.).
  6. Lower the hood.
  7. Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement  .
