Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Safari and 2002 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT: Do not remove the instrument panel to replace right or right center knee bolster brackets.
  1. Remove the passenger's knee bolster. Refer to KNEE BOLSTER REPLACEMENT - RIGHT  .
  2. Roll the instrument panel down. Refer to IP Assembly Replacement  .
  3. Remove the knee bolster bracket right side screws.
  4. Remove the knee bolster bracket right side.

  5. Remove the knee bolster bracket right center screws.
  6. Remove the knee bolster bracket right center.
