Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Safari and 2002 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the knee bolster brackets to the vehicle.
    2. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the bolts that retain the brackets to the instrument panel carrier. Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to the brackets to the instrument panel carrier to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  3. Install the instrument panel to the vehicle. Refer to IP Assembly Replacement  .
  4. Install the bolts that retain the brackets to the instrument panel trim pad. Tighten:  Tighten the bolts that retain the bracket to the instrument panel to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  5. Install the driver's knee bolster. Refer to KNEE BOLSTER REPLACEMENT - LEFT  .
