Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Safari and 2002 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect the electrical connectors.
  2. Install the extension to the instrument panel:
    1. Align the retainers.
    2. Press the extension into place until the retainers are seated.
    3. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the nuts that retain the extension to the floor. Tighten:  Tighten the nuts that retain the extension to the floor to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
  4. Install the retaining screws. Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
  5. Install the extension screw covers.
