Removal Procedure

- Disable the SIR system.
- Remove the instrument panel from the vehicle. Refer to IP Assembly Replacement .
- Remove the inflatable restraint IP module.
- Remove the radio, if equipped. Refer to RADIO REPLACEMENT in Entertainment.
- Remove the bolts that retain the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module to the carrier.
- Remove the RKE module from the carrier.
- Remove the heater control assembly.
- Remove the nuts that retain the assist handle from the passenger's side of the instrument panel.
- Remove the screws that retain the cluster to the instrument panel carrier.
- Pull the cluster from the instrument panel.

- Remove the instrument panel trim pad. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - IP Cluster .
- Remove the nuts and bolts that retain the instrument panel steering column reinforcement bracket to the instrument panel carrier.
