Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .

Install the nuts and bolts that retain the instrument panel steering column reinforcement bracket to the instrument panel carrier. Tighten: Tighten the nuts and bolts to the steering column reinforcement bracket to the instrument panel carrier to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
Install the instrument panel trim pad. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - IP Cluster .

Install the instrument cluster to the instrument panel carrier with four retaining screws.

Install the nuts that retain the assist handle to the passenger's side of the instrument panel. Tighten: Tighten the nuts that retain the assist handle to the passenger's side of the instrument panel to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
Install the heater control head.
Install the two bolts that retain the RKE module to the carrier. Tighten: Tighten the two bolts that retain the RKE module to the carrier to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

Install the radio, if equipped. Refer to RADIO REPLACEMENT in Entertainment.
Install the inflatable restraint IP module.
Install the instrument panel to the vehicle. Refer to IP Assembly Replacement .
Enable the SIR.
