Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to AIR CLEANER INTAKE DUCT .
  3. Remove the right engine mount strut bracket. Refer to ENGINE MOUNT STRUT BRACKET REPLACEMENT - RIGHT .
  4. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe heat shield bolts.
  5. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe heat shield.

  6. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe nuts from the left exhaust manifold.

  7. Remove the left exhaust manifold heat shield bolts.
  8. Remove the left exhaust manifold heat shield.

  9. Remove the left exhaust manifold nuts.
  10. Remove the left exhaust manifold.
  11. Remove the left exhaust manifold gasket.
  12. Clean the left exhaust manifold to the left cylinder head sealing surfaces.
