Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Safari and 2002 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The body side blackout transfers will require removal of all windows in the area of the transfer. The forward transfers will require the removal of the front body side windows. The rearward transfers will require the removal of the front and the rear body side windows.

  1. Remove the interior trim, as needed, in order to ease window removal.
  2. Remove the swing-out and/or stationary window(s).
  3. Remove the body side swing-out window weather-strip, if equipped.

Important  : Apply all transfers in a clean environment where dust or fibers will not interfere with proper adhesion.

  4. Use a heat gun or other suitable tool in order to heat the transfer and slowly peel the transfer from the body.
