Installation Procedure

  1. Position the hinge to the alignment marks on the quarter panel.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the hinge to rear quarter bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the rear compartment hinge to rear quarter bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the rear compartment struts. Refer to STRUT REPLACEMENT - REAR COMPARTMENT LID  .
  4. Install the rear compartment lid. Refer to COMPARTMENT LID REPLACEMENT - REAR  .

  5. Adjust the rear compartment lid height adjustment by using a wrench on the rear compartment hinge height adjustment bolt.
  6. Adjust the rear compartment lid height adjustment by turning the rear compartment lid bumper by hand.
  7. Close the rear compartment.
