Removal Procedure

  1. Open the rear compartment.
  2. Remove the rear compartment convenience net.
  3. Remove the lower rear compartment convenience net retainers.
  4. Remove the plastic housing from the communication interface module by pulling outward on the housing.
  5. Disconnect the 2 lower connectors from the module.
  6. Disconnect the GPS antenna cable from the module by pulling outward on the circular metal sleeve.

  7. Remove the nuts from the module bracket.
  8. Remove the module and the bracket from the rear compartment.

  9. Remove the spare tire cover from the rear compartment.
  10. Remove the spare tire.
  11. Remove the retainers by the rear compartment lock striker.
  12. Fold the rear section of the trim panel foreword.

  13. Fold each side of the trim panel toward the center of the car.
  14. Remove the rear compartment trim panel from the rear compartment.
