Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear compartment trim panel to the rear compartment.
  2. Unfold the trim panel sides and rear sections and press them into place.

  3. Install the spare tire.
  4. Install the spare tire cover in the rear compartment.

  5. Position the communication interface module and the bracket in the rear compartment.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the interface module bracket nuts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bracket nuts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  7. Connect the GPS antenna cable by pushing in on the metal sleeve.
  8. Connect the 2 lower connectors to the module.
  9. Install the plastic housing onto the communication interface module by pressing in on the housing.
  10. Install the retainers by the rear compartment lock striker.
  11. Replace the lower rear compartment convenience net retainers.
  12. Install the rear compartment convenience net.
  13. Close the rear compartment.
