An intermittent may be caused by any of the following conditions:

The PCM will monitor the control circuit for the following:

When the PCM detects any of the above malfunctions, this DTC will set and the diagnostic will be disabled.

If DTC cannot be duplicated and is determined to be intermittent, reviewing the Failure Records can be useful in determining when DTC was last set. Also, see INTERMITTENT CONDITIONS  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
